Ballet has always been one of my greatest loves. It gives me so much joy to dance, and I knew it had to be a part of my college experience. For me, ballet class is a happy place where I can let go of stress and focus only on movement. My goal at UC is to provide this same joy to children who perhaps would not have the opportunity to take dance classes otherwise. I am currently researching the possibility of opening free dance classes for students looking for weekend activities.

I began to play the flute in the third grade. I took part in my first ensemble experience right here in CCM in the fifth grade with Junior Cincinnati Youth Wind Ensemble. In the eighth grade, I began the first of five years in the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra. Playing the flute has taught me musicality, coordination, collaboration, and perseverance, but more than that, it has given me indescribable experiences that have taught me the joy I gain from bringing happiness to others. I plan to continue playing music as a ministry to others while at the University of Cincinnati.
